Supplemental Table 1 contains RT-PCR primer sequences. Supplemental Table 2 contains primer pairs used in RT-PCR assays. Supplemental Table 3 contains oligos used to generate and genotype transgenic mice. Supplemental Figure 1 displays a self-symmetry triangular dot plot of the Srsx-containing ampliconic region on the X. Supplemental Figure 2 is a dot plot of DNA sequence identity between two Srsx-containing X amplicons. Supplemental Figure 3 shows low level of expression from the Y of sequences with homology to Laidx. Supplemental Figure 4 shows Laidx expression exclusively in the testis. Supplemental Figure 5 shows all RT=PCR assays used to characterize Ladix. Supplemental Figure 6 displays IUPred2A output with high probability of disorder across the LAIDX protein. Supplemental Figure 7 shows dotplots comparing mouse and rat Laidx genes. Supplemental Figure 8 is a dotplot comparing rat Laidx to the rat Y chromosome. Supplemental Figure 9 contains dotplots showing similarity of rat Laidx to a Clonorchis gene. Supplemental Figure 10 displays Periodic-acid Schiff stained testis histology from WT and Laidx-/Y males demonstrating normal development and morphology.
